Long sleeves in summer. Skipping the pool party. Dating hassles. Funny looks from strangers.
People with psoriasis endure a lot, even aside from the physical pain. But by participating in Psoriasis Cure Now’s 2008 Short Sleeve Days Bar-B-Q in Charlotte, you will be part of an innovative strategy to change that. Join us for an evening of food, fun and education about psoriasis:
Sat., Sept. 13, 2008, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Reedy Creek Park - Indoor Facility
2900 Rocky River Road
Charlotte, NC 28215
Registration is free!
Psoriasis Cure Now's Short Sleeve Days campaign is designed to:
* Help psoriasis patients to GO PUBLIC AND SPEAK OUT.
* Educate the general public about psoriasis, since most of the ‘stigma’ surrounding psoriasis springs from ignorance of the disease.
* Raise money for Psoriasis Cure Now's research and education programs.
On September 12-14, 2008, we are asking every person with psoriasis across the country to expose their psoriasis and go out into the world. We are also asking every person who cares about someone with psoriasis to join us. We will wear the official Short Sleeve Days T-shirt [note: we can no longer guarantee t-shirt delivery in time for Short Sleeve Days] and invite people to ask us about psoriasis. We'll also distribute Psoriasis Info Cards (provided to all registrants) to dispel myths while telling the truth about the seriousness of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. This powerful collective action will empower us and educate the public. It will also serve as inspiration to the many people with psoriasis whose psoriasis has them in hiding, socially isolated.
Please register TODAY to join us. Together, we will reduce the social pain of psoriasis as we increase research on the disease. And we'll have fun doing it! |
